Short answer
Bridal makeup in West Delhi costs Rs 18,000-22,000 for HD and Rs 25,000-30,000 for airbrush, with engagement and roka looks at Rs 10,000-15,000 and reception at Rs 12,000-16,000. Book 3-4 months ahead for a November-to-February wedding, and expect to pay a 50% advance to hold the date.
West Delhi has more bridal makeup artists per square kilometre than almost anywhere else in the city - Rajouri Garden, Punjabi Bagh, Ramesh Nagar and Janakpuri alone hold hundreds of studios. That is good for choice and terrible for deciding. Here is how the market actually prices, and what separates a studio worth your advance from one that is not.
What bridal makeup costs in West Delhi
| Look | Typical West Delhi range | At Blushes & Brushes |
|---|---|---|
| HD bridal | Rs 15,000 - 25,000 | Rs 18,000 - 22,000 |
| Airbrush bridal | Rs 22,000 - 35,000 | Rs 25,000 - 30,000 |
| Engagement / Roka / Sagan | Rs 8,000 - 18,000 | Rs 10,000 - 15,000 |
| Reception | Rs 10,000 - 20,000 | Rs 12,000 - 16,000 |
| Bridal trial | Rs 2,000 - 4,000 | Rs 3,000, adjusted against the booking |
Anything advertised far below these ranges is usually one of three things: a trainee portfolio shoot, products you would not want on your skin for fourteen hours, or a quote that grows once hair, draping and lashes are added. Ask what is included before you compare two numbers.
HD or airbrush - the honest answer
This depends on your skin, not your budget. Airbrush suits oily skin and long, heavily photographed days: it sits lighter and holds through heat. HD suits dry or textured skin and reads softer in person, which matters more than people expect when your relatives are two feet away. A good artist will talk you out of airbrush when it is wrong for you. We cover the full comparison in HD vs airbrush bridal makeup.
How early to book in West Delhi
- Peak season (November to February): 3-4 months ahead. The good dates go first and they do not come back.
- Off-season (March to September): 6-8 weeks is usually comfortable.
- Saturdays and auspicious dates book earliest - if your date is a known muhurat, treat it as peak season whatever the month.
- A 50% advance is standard and is normally non-refundable, adjusted against the final bill.
Eight questions to ask before you pay the advance
- Who actually does my makeup on the day - you, or an assistant? Get the name.
- Is hair, draping and lashes included, or priced separately?
- What products go on my base? Ask for brands, not adjectives.
- Do you travel to my venue, and what is the travel charge?
- How many brides are you taking on my date?
- Can I see unedited photographs of a bride with my skin tone and skin type?
- What happens if I am unhappy at the trial - is the advance transferable?
- What time will you arrive, and how long do you need?
If an artist is vague about the first or the sixth, keep looking. Those two questions separate a studio from a booking agency.
Travelling vs studio makeup
Most West Delhi brides get ready at home or at the venue, which means the artist travels with a full kit and a ring light. That is normal and should be quoted openly - usually cab actuals rather than a flat fee. Studio appointments suit engagement and reception looks, where you are not racing a baraat clock.
