In days, that is roughly 21 to 28 days for a typical gel set, and up to 35 for acrylic on someone with slow nail growth. Anyone promising two months is selling you a refill you will need sooner.
What determines longevity

The first 24 hours
Avoid long, hot showers and dishwashing right after application - the bond is still settling. Skip acetone-based removers and heavy hand sanitiser near the cuticle for the first day.
Simple aftercare that actually works
- Oil your cuticles daily - flexible nails chip far less than dry, brittle ones.
- Wear gloves for cleaning and gardening; water and detergents are the enemy of the seal.
- Don't pick or peel. If a nail lifts, book a fix - pulling it off takes your natural nail layer with it.
